Mission saw actors distribute food aid to over 500 families, spend time with children receiving medical treatment

Pakistani actors have shared glimpses of a humanitarian trip to Jordan, where they joined UK-registered charity SKT Welfare in supporting Palestinians displaced from Gaza.

The five-day mission, which took place from September 29 to October 3, brought together actors including Jawed Sheikh, Khaled Anam, Saba Hamid, Shagufta Ejaz, Ally Khan, Kubra Khan, Gohar Rasheed, Ahmed Ali Akbar and Nabeel Zafar.

During the visit, the delegation helped prepare and distribute more than 500 boxes of essential, non-perishable food items to Gazan refugee families, while also spending time with Palestinian patients and their families receiving medical treatment in Jordan.

Sharing photographs and videos from the trip on Instagram, the actors documented their work with SKT Welfare as well as their interactions with families displaced by the conflict.

According to Khaled Anam’s account of the mission, many of the families receiving assistance included children who had been injured during the conflict or were undergoing treatment for serious illnesses, including cancer and heart conditions.

In the caption accompanying his post, he wrote, “Between September 29 and October 3, 2026, the SKT Welfare organised and deployed a team of actors from Pakistan for a moving mission to Jordan to support displaced women and children from Gaza. From packing to personally visiting and delivering essential non perishable food ration boxes to over 500 Gazan refugee families having children either injured during the conflict or with severe medical conditions like cancer, heart problems etc, in hospitals and their temporary abode.”

For the delegation, one of the more personal parts of the visit was an afternoon arranged for children undergoing cancer treatment. SKT Welfare hosted the children for games, activities and a hot meal, giving them an opportunity to spend time away from the pressures of treatment and displacement.

In his Instagram post, Anam described the experience as a chance for the group to “listen, comfort, and stand in solidarity” with Palestinians from Gaza.

The organisation also provides longer-term assistance to patients who have travelled to Jordan for medical care. Its support includes accommodation, meals and transportation, helping patients reach hospitals and attend essential medical appointments while they are away from home.

Saba Hamid, Nabeel Zafar and Shagufta Ejaz also shared photographs from the mission on their respective Instagram accounts. Their posts featured moments from the aid work as well as snapshots of the group’s time in Jordan.

The Jordan visit comes as Palestinian patients and their families continue to navigate medical treatment and displacement far from Gaza. Through its work in Jordan, SKT Welfare says it continues to assist people who have been evacuated for medical care, while its wider relief operations extend to communities inside Gaza.

The actors’ posts have since offered followers a closer look at the mission, documenting both the practical aid delivered and the personal connections formed with families and children during the visit.
