Provincial Minister for Industry & Commerce and Agriculture SM Tanveer embarked on a visit to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. During his visit, he engaged with Chief Secretary Khyber PakhtunkhwaNadeemAslamChaudhry as well as representatives from the business community and the Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Peshawar. Provincial Minister for Housing and Urban Development Azfar Ali Nasir also participated in these meetings. Discussions encompassed business opportunities in both Punjab and KPK, with a focus on fostering cooperation across diverse sectors, notably agriculture.
Provincial Minister SM Tanveer underscored Punjab’s ample wheat reserves, expressing a willingness to supply wheat to KPK.
He highlighted the caretaker government’s commitment to revitalizing the national economy through agricultural initiatives, including the ongoing formulation of a 10-year plan in consultation with stakeholders.
Tanveer emphasized the potential for economic stability through the promotion of business activities, stressing the need for collective efforts in national development.
Emphasizing the integral role of all units of Pakistan in the country’s progress, Tanveer urged collaborative efforts for development and prosperity.
He highlighted the facilitation of industrialists with a commitment to providing all necessary support for new investments in Punjab. Special Economic Zones and Industrial Estates in Punjab, according to SM Tanveer, present excellent opportunities for establishing new factories.
Additionally, he noted initiatives aimed at providing economic opportunities for women investors.
Chief Secretary KPK NadeemAslamChaudhry affirmed the creation of a favorable investment environment in KPK, assuring investors of the provision of all necessary facilities to foster economic growth. The collaborative approach between Punjab and KPK reflects a shared commitment to fostering economic development and prosperity for the entire nation.
