Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Friday expressed profound grief and sorrow over the death of four people who were run over by a car in Pakpattan.
The chief minister conveyed her heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved families and prayed for strength for them to bear the loss.
She also sought an immediate report from the Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sahiwal regarding the incident and directed the authorities concerned to arrest those responsible without delay and ensure the strictest legal action against them. The chief minister paid tribute to the brave security forces for their professionalism and courage in carrying out the operation. She lauded their unwavering commitment to safeguarding the country and its citizens. Maryam Nawaz stated that the nation remains determined to protect the lives and property of the people and to ensure the complete eradication of terrorism. She reaffirmed that the fight against terrorism will continue until lasting peace .
