NADRA simplifies process for citizens to update address on ID cards – Pakistan Observer

ISLAMABAD – The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) on Monday announced streamlined procedures for citizens wishing to update their current address on identity cards, making it easier to keep residential records accurate and up to date.

A NADRA spokesperson said that citizens are now required to provide just one valid proof of residence. The acceptable documents include utility bills (electricity, gas, or water) in the name of parents, spouse, or the citizen themselves at the given residential address.

The other approved documents include a domicile certificate, property papers, housing society allotment letter, or a verified rental agreement.

The citizens can visit their nearest NADRA centre with the required documents, where officials will assist them with the complete procedure for updating their address.
