CEDARVILLE, OHIO, Oct. 03, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Cedarville University announced\u00a0today\u00a0the successful completion of its\u00a0One Thousand Days Transformed: The Campaign for Cedarville<\/i>, raising $205.8\u00a0million to expand capacity, maximize affordability, transform\u00a0students\u2019\u00a0lives, and provide for the future. The campaign exceeded its original goal,\u00a0demonstrating\u00a0that the university\u2019s vision was far surpassed by God\u2019s provision.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The announcement came during Cedarville\u2019s annual State of the University\u00a0Address from Dr. Thomas White, president,\u00a0at the start of the homecoming weekend. Faculty, staff,\u00a0students\u00a0and alumni\u00a0gathered in the Dixon Ministry Center for the chapel service, which concluded with confetti\u00a0fluttering\u00a0through the air\u00a0in celebration of\u00a0the announcement of the final total raised.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThis campaign is a testament to God\u2019s faithfulness and the generosity of His people,\u201d said White. \u201cWe dreamed big, but our dreams were smaller than God\u2019s\u00a0plans. Through this campaign, He has positioned Cedarville to continue equipping students for gospel impact for generations to come.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The campaign drew support from\u00a0more than 26,000\u00a0donors\u00a0who made 85,915 gifts to the campaign.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Expanding Capacity<\/b>\u00a0
With the completion of\u00a0the\u00a0One Thousand\u00a0<\/i>Days Transformed<\/i>\u00a0<\/i>campaign, Cedarville has opened four academic buildings,\u00a0including the Scharnberg Business and Communication Center in 2024,\u00a0three\u00a0residence halls, and\u00a0the Chick-fil-A\u00a0dining\u00a0facility. These projects added 468 beds, 122 offices, 44 classrooms and labs, 41 collaboration spaces, and\u00a0three\u00a0new dining options \u2014 significantly increasing the university\u2019s ability to serve\u00a0its\u00a0growing\u00a0enrollment of 7,265 students.\u00a0The\u00a0last campaign building, the\u00a0Bolthouse Academic Center,\u00a0is currently under construction and is expected to open in August 2027.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Maximizing Affordability<\/b>\u00a0
The campaign also allowed for the creation of 99\u00a0new scholarships, contributing to an endowed scholarship total of more than $18.1 million. In 2025\u201326, donor-funded scholarships will support 667 students with an average award of $3,589.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Transforming Lives<\/b>\u00a0
At the heart of Cedarville\u2019s mission is gospel-focused transformation. During the campaign, 246 Global Outreach (GO) teams traveled to 95 destinations, sending 2,397 students under the leadership of 316 faculty and staff. Twenty of those trips were dedicated to church planting efforts. In total, $4.9 million was given to support GO trips.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In addition, endowments were\u00a0established\u00a0for chapel ($1 million), discipleship ministries ($200,000), and Global Outreach trip leadership ($1 million), ensuring the continuation of spiritual formation opportunities at Cedarville.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Providing for the Future<\/b>\u00a0
The campaign also secured more than $16.5 million in future commitments\u00a0from\u00a067\u00a0individuals making planned gifts. These funds will\u00a0establish\u00a0a foundation\u00a0that will provide\u00a0for long-term growth and mission advancement.\u00a0<\/p>\n
