The Balochistan government has approved major policies supporting transgender rights and minority welfare. These include a first-ever transgender strategy, a minority endowment fund, and a ban on hate speech. The decisions came during the 19th cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.<\/p>\n

According to the CM Secretariat, these steps aim to ensure inclusive development. Bugti reaffirmed his government\u2019s commitment to reforms that protect the rights of minorities, women, and the transgender community. The new policies focus on social harmony, equal opportunities, and economic inclusion for all marginalized groups.<\/p>\n

The cabinet also approved a fund for improving services for minority communities. It banned hate speech publication and endorsed a comprehensive policy for transgender rights in Balochistan. The CM called the decisions a \u201cguarantee of public interest and sustainable progress.\u201d He added that transparency and good governance are at the core of his administration\u2019s approach.<\/p>\n

Beyond rights-based policies, the cabinet approved several infrastructure and health projects. These include new tehsils in Sakran and Karbala, a modern hospital in Dalbandin, and enhanced hospital waste management rules. The cabinet also restored historic district names and exempted WFP cargo for Afghanistan from development charges.<\/p>\n

The cabinet expressed full support for legislative reforms and technical education integration. It endorsed bills by MNAs Shazia Marri and Qadir Patel, and approved the merger of institutions under BTEVTA. These collective efforts signal a strong push for inclusive development and long-term progress in the province.<\/p>\n
