Chinese President Xi Jinping on Saturday sent a message of condolence to President Dr Arif Alvi over a series of bomb attacks that rocked Pakistan.<\/p>\n

The two attacks, which occurred in Balochistan’s district Mastung during an Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) procession and in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s Hangu district a day earlier, have claimed the lives of dozens of innocent victims.<\/p>\n

In his message, Xi said that he was shocked to learn of the attacks which caused heavy casualties.<\/p>\n

On behalf of the Chinese government and people, Xi mourned deeply for the fatal victims and conveyed sincere sympathies to the bereaved families and those injured.<\/p>\n

At least 55 people, including a policeman, died and 60 others were injured when a suicide bomber targeted an Eid Miladun Nabi procession in the remote district of Mastung.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the police also made it possible to avoid a major loss through their vigilance by foiling suicide attack at the mosque in Hangu the same day. They did it with unprecedented courage and bravery.<\/p>\n

Four security personnel were also martyred as a result of a terrorist attack in Zhob’s Sambaza area.<\/p>\n

Xi emphasised that China resolutely opposes all forms of terrorism and will continue to firmly support Pakistan’s endeavours to maintain national stability and security.<\/p>\n

On the same day, Chinese Premier Li Qiang also extended condolences to Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
