While his family members were left unharmed, the assailants took him away along with his young son. The gunmen later released the child, as well as the AC\u2019s driver and security guard, a short distance from the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Before fleeing, the attackers torched the Assistant Commissioner\u2019s official vehicle, leaving it completely destroyed.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Commissioner Ziarat, Zakaullah Durrani, confirmed that a search operation is underway to recover the abducted officer.
