High pressure in the upper atmosphere prevails over the country, which will continue to persist during the next four days. A shallow westerly wave also prevails over Kashmir and the adjoining hilly areas.<\/p>\n<p>Under these weather conditions, heatwaves will likely persist in Lahore and most districts of Punjab on Tuesday and the next 2-3 days. Gusty winds are expected during the afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>Day temperatures will likely remain between 05\u00b0C and 07\u00b0C above normal levels in central &amp; upper Punjab, while between 04\u00b0C and 06\u00b0C above normal levels in southern Punjab till June 12.<\/p>\n<p>Lahore\u2019s maximum temperature will likely remain between 44\u00b0C and 46\u00b0C on Tuesday and Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, heatwaves prevailed in Lahore and most districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n<p>Dera Ghazi Khan remained the hottest place in Punjab, where the maximum temperature was recorded at 49\u00b0C. The maximum temperature in Bhakkar and Sargodha was recorded at 48\u00b0C, and in Bahawalnagar, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Jhang, Layyah, Kasur, Kot Addu, Mandi Bahauddin and Jhelum at 47\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p>In Lahore, the maximum temperature was recorded at 45\u00b0C.
