In a powerful show of support for the Palestinian cause, Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, Chaudhry Salik Hussain<\/strong>, reiterated Pakistan\u2019s solidarity with Palestine<\/strong> at the \u201cInternational Solidarity Meeting with the Palestinian Labor and People\u201d<\/strong> hosted by the Arab Labor Organization<\/strong> in Geneva.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the high-level event, Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain condemned Israeli aggression in Gaza<\/strong>, particularly the violence against unarmed civilians, including women, children, and the elderly<\/strong>. He urged the global community<\/strong> to take immediate action by providing financial aid, medical support, and food supplies<\/strong> to the affected Palestinian population.<\/p>\n

The Minister called on the United Nations (UN)<\/strong> and the International Labour Organization (ILO)<\/strong> to step in urgently to halt the humanitarian crisis in Gaza<\/strong> and to help restore peace and normal civic life<\/strong> in the region.<\/p>\n

The solidarity event was attended by senior ministers and dignitaries from ILO member states<\/strong>, including Palestinian Minister for Labour Dr. Anaas Atari<\/strong>, high-level Arab state representatives, the ILO Director-General<\/strong>, and the Secretary-General of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC)<\/strong>. All attendees unanimously condemned the ongoing genocide and human rights violations in Palestine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On the sidelines of the meeting, Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain held a bilateral discussion with Luc Triangle<\/strong>, Secretary-General of ITUC. He reiterated Pakistan\u2019s commitment to international labor rights<\/strong>, highlighting efforts under the Decent Work Country Program<\/strong> and progress in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Minister emphasized the government\u2019s focus on protecting migrant workers\u2019 rights<\/strong>, improving workplace safety<\/strong>, and strengthening social protection systems<\/strong> for vulnerable labor segments.<\/p>\n

Accompanying the Minister were Ambassador Bilal Ahmad<\/strong>, Pakistan\u2019s Permanent Representative to the UN in Geneva, Joint Secretary OPHRD Suleman Ghani<\/strong>, Secretary Workers Welfare Fund Zulfiqar Ahmed<\/strong>, and other senior officials from Pakistan.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
