Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Engr Hafiz Naeemur Rahman has called on the Pakistani government and Muslim countries to launch a unified and immediate campaign against Israeli aggression in Gaza, particularly to save children from dying of starvation.<\/p>\n

Speaking at a press conference at the JI\u2019s Karachi headquarters, Idara Noor-e-Haq, on Saturday, Rahman said the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Gaza was an indictment of global silence, especially from Muslim states.<\/p>\n

Condemning Israel\u2019s military assault and blockade, Rahman described the situation as a man-made genocide.<\/p>\n

He accused former U.S.President Donald Trump of being complicit in the violence, saying those still pinning hope on him should know \u201che is a fraud.<\/p>\n

\u201d He also pointed to growing public opposition to Israeli policies in the West, citing a survey showing that 50% of people in the United Kingdom oppose Israel\u2019s actions.<\/p>\n

He warned Arab leaders that history would not forgive their inaction and said their own people would rise against them unless they chose the right side.<\/p>\n

Rahman announced that medical professionals in Karachi would stage a march for Gaza on May 31, followed by another protest in Hyderabad on June 1.<\/p>\n

He urged the public to boycott Israeli goods and called on all political parties to raise their voices for Palestine.<\/p>\n

He also emphasized that Pakistan\u2019s military stature had grown amid rising regional tensions and urged it to play a proactive role in defense of Gaza, linking the cause to the long-standing issue of Kashmir.<\/p>\n

Turning to domestic issues, Rahman demanded urgent tax reforms to ease pressure on the middle and working classes.<\/p>\n

He proposed that monthly salaries up to Rs120,000 be exempted from income tax and that small-scale farmers be similarly relieved.<\/p>\n

However, he insisted that feudal landowners must pay their fair share, and he called for a cut in electricity tariffs and petroleum levies, blaming the ruling elite for hiding behind the International Monetary Fund (IMF) while clinging to their own privileges.<\/p>\n
