LAHORE: Former <\/strong>Federation International Football Association (FIFA), Development Officer, Mohsin Gilani has been elected as the new President of the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mohsin Gilani secured a simple majority with 13 votes in the second round of the PFF elections, marking a significant development for the future of football governance in Pakistan.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On the other hand, Taha Ali Zai of Karachi United Football Club got 11 votes.<\/p>\n

The Pakistan Football Federation has received a new elected president after six years while Mohsin Gilani is the 17th elected president of the PFF.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Lahore Qalandars defeated Quetta Gladiators and won the Pakistan Super League (PSL) trophy for the third time, becoming only the second team after Islamabad United to reach this milestone.<\/p>\n

Chasing a big target of 202 runs, Lahore started their innings with an aggressive approach. Mohammad Naeem and Fakhar Zaman gave the team a solid start with a 39-run opening stand. However, Fakhar was dismissed by Abrar Ahmed after scoring 11 runs off 10 balls, which included two boundaries.<\/p>\n

Abdullah Shafique came in to join Naeem and the pair quickly built a strong partnership by hitting regular boundaries. Naeem looked in great form as he neared a half-century in PSL 10 but was dismissed by Faheem Ashraf after scoring 47 runs off 27 balls, which included one four and six sixes.
