{"id":9405,"date":"2023-09-30T14:25:08","date_gmt":"2023-09-30T14:25:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/special-courts-planned-for-special-people-the-express-tribune\/"},"modified":"2023-09-30T14:25:08","modified_gmt":"2023-09-30T14:25:08","slug":"special-courts-planned-for-special-people-the-express-tribune","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/special-courts-planned-for-special-people-the-express-tribune\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Special courts\u2019 planned for special people | The Express Tribune"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"\">\n<strong class=\"location-names\"><br \/>\nLAHORE:<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:black\">The Council on Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) approved in its first meeting a proposal to send a summary to the Punjab chief minister for the formation of special courts for differently-abled people.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:black\">CRPD Secretary Mudassar Riaz Malik explained the aims and objectives of the formation of the council under the Punjab Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Act 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:black\">The council formed a committee for the recruitment of its staff. Law and regulation, executive, education, health, sports and social protection committees were also formed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\"><span style=\"color:black\">The members approved the setting up of district welfare and rehabilitation units, disability assessment boards and the SOPs of a Disabled Persons Management Information System. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>A representative of Pakistan Baitul Mal will be included in each district assessment board and provincial assessment committee will also be formed.
