Operation Banyan-um-Marsoos Effectively Responds to Indian Aggression: DGISPR\n<\/p>\n<\/figure><\/div>\n

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry Sunday announced that Pakistan\u2019s armed forces have fulfilled their commitment to the nation in response to recent Indian aggression by launching operation Banyan-um-Marsoos.<\/p>\n

ISPR DG highlighted that on May 6 and 7 Indian missile strikes resulted in the tragic deaths of innocent Pakistani civilians including women and children.<\/p>\n

In response to Indian aggression, Pakistan launched Operation Banyan-um-Marsoos, hitting 26 Indian military sites and causing serious damage to their military infrastructure.<\/p>\n

The ISPR Director General, who is also the spokesperson for the Pakistan Army, said that the Pakistan Army fired Fateh F1 and F2 missiles at Indian targets located in inside India, including cities like Avantipora, Ambala, Pathankot, Suratgarh, Sirsa, Barnala, and Srinagar.<\/p>\n

He also offered heartfelt condolences to the families of the Pakistani civilians who lost their lives in the Indian attacks.<\/p>\n

The Director General explained that India had earlier targeted three Pakistani airbases \u2014 Nur Khan, Shorkot, and Murid \u2014 with missile strikes. However, Pakistan\u2019s strong air defense systems intercepted most of those missiles, and no major damage was done to the Pakistan Air Force\u2019s equipment.<\/p>\n

The press conference also addressed India\u2019s internal issues, with General Chaudhry alleging that India\u2019s actions were attempts to divert attention from its internal crises and to destabilize the region further. He reaffirmed Pakistan\u2019s commitment to peace but warned against continued provocations.<\/p>\n

General Chaudhry emphasized the role of Pakistani youth in countering misinformation during this period, stating that they played a pivotal role in the information warfare landscape.<\/p>\n

He said that they are thankful to Allah for granting victory to Pakistan and saluted the Pakistani nation for standing firmly with their armed forces during this time and facing the enemy on every front.<\/p>\n

In response to a question, he clarified that Pakistan did not request the ceasefire; it was India\u2019s wish. Pakistan accepted the ceasefire request on the appeal of the international community. He also confirmed that Pakistan does not have any Indian pilot in custody and that such news is merely social media speculation.<\/p>\n

He stated that it was made clear from the beginning that Pakistan would first respond effectively to Indian aggression, and only then would any discussions take place.<\/p>\n

The military spokesperson reiterated that they have said before, and will say again, that war between two nuclear powers would be an act of folly.<\/p>\n

He added that Kashmir is the main issue of conflict between Pakistan and India, and until the Kashmir dispute is resolved in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and the United Nations resolutions, normal relations between the two countries will not be possible.<\/p>\n

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that they are deeply thankful to all political parties for their unwavering support to the armed forces, as they put aside political differences and stood united.<\/p>\n

He also expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, stating that his wise and courageous decisions played a key role in achieving this historic success. He further praised the Pakistani media for bravely countering the false narratives spread by the Indian media.<\/p>\n
