BALTIMORE, May 11, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The touchscreen replaced the keyboard. Voice commands replaced buttons. Now, Elon Musk is preparing to eliminate the interface altogether \u2014 and according to veteran analyst Enrique Abeyta, it all starts with a machine called Dojo<\/u><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou won\u2019t need a dashboard. You won\u2019t need a driver. You won\u2019t even need to tell the system what to do,\u201d Abeyta says. \u201cDojo already knows.\u201d<\/p>\n

What Happens When You Remove the Human?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tesla\u2019s latest AI system \u2014 powered by the Dojo supercomputer \u2014 is trained to make critical, real-time decisions by analyzing the world on its own. No pre-written instructions. No human input.<\/p>\n

The system is fed by 160 billion frames of video per day, collected by Tesla\u2019s global fleet. It doesn\u2019t just process the data \u2014 it learns from it.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith the latest software\u2026 Elon Musk\u2019s AI can already drive a car without any help from humans,\u201d<\/u><\/a> Abeyta explains.<\/p>\n

The Countdown to June 1<\/strong><\/p>\n

That learning becomes real on June 1st, when Musk is expected to debut Tesla\u2019s most ambitious platform yet: the Robotaxi.<\/p>\n

Born From Constraint, Built for Control<\/strong><\/p>\n

The project wasn\u2019t born out of vision \u2014 it was born out of constraint.<\/p>\n

When Nvidia couldn\u2019t supply enough chips to support Tesla\u2019s computer needs, Musk responded the only way he knew how: he built his own.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think this requires that we put a lot more effort on Dojo\u2026 I see a path to being competitive with Nvidia,\u201d<\/u><\/a> Musk said.<\/p>\n

That chip is now reportedly six times more powerful than Nvidia\u2019s most popular model \u2014 purpose-built for visual, real-time AI training.<\/p>\n

The Foundation for Everything After<\/strong><\/p>\n

While the Dojo system is being rolled out through Tesla, Abeyta believes the same platform could power nearly every vision-based system in the world.<\/p>\n

From drones to robots, from smart grids to real-time surveillance systems \u2014 Dojo could become the universal layer between cameras and cognition.<\/p>\n

Morgan Stanley analysts agree:<\/p>\n

\u201cDojo applications longer-term can extend beyond the auto industry. It can lay the foundation for vision-based AI models.\u201d <\/u><\/a><\/p>\n

And the U.S. government is already leaning in.<\/p>\n

\u201cPresident Trump just signed an executive order called \u2018Removing Barriers to American AI Innovation,\u2019<\/u><\/a>\u201d Abeyta notes.<\/p>\n
