This is an expansion of the previous indication for the treatment of patients with Cushing\u2019s disease which is a sub-type of Cushing\u2019s syndrome.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">The ISTURISA\u00ae indication expansion was supported by the ISTURISA\u00ae extensive clinical development program which includes over 350 patients.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Scott Pescatore, Executive Vice President of Rare Diseases at Recordati, commented, \u201cWe are pleased that with the label expansion for ISTURISA<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> in the U.S. to endogenous hypercortisolemia in patients with Cushing\u2019s syndrome, this important unmet need can now be addressed with a further treatment modality. Your healthcare provider will check the electrical signal of your heart (called an electrocardiogram) before you start taking ISTURISA, 1 week after starting ISTURISA, and as needed after that.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-top:8pt;\">have a history of low levels of potassium or magnesium in your blood.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-top:8pt;\">have liver problems.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-top:8pt;\">are or plan to become pregnant. It is not known if ISTURISA will harm your unborn baby. There are risks to the mother and unborn baby associated with active Cushing\u2019s syndrome during pregnancy.<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-top:8pt;\">are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed. It is not known if ISTURISA passes into your breast milk. You should not breastfeed if you take ISTURISA and for 1 week after stopping treatment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tell your healthcare provider <\/strong>about all the medicines you take, including any prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, or herbal supplements.<\/p>\n<p>Especially tell your healthcare provider if you take medicines used to treat certain heart problems. Ask your healthcare provider if you are not sure whether your medicine is used to treat heart problems.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ISTURISA can cause serious side effects including:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Call your healthcare provider if you have any of these side effects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The<\/strong> <strong>most<\/strong> <strong>common<\/strong> <strong>side<\/strong> <strong>effects<\/strong> <strong>of<\/strong> <strong>ISTURISA<\/strong> <strong>include<\/strong> very low cortisol levels (adrenal insufficiency), tiredness (fatigue), nausea, headache, and swelling of the legs, ankles or other signs of fluid retention (edema).<\/p>\n<p>These are not all the possible side effects of <strong>ISTURISA<\/strong>.
