LHC\u2019s Justice Ali Baqir Najafi appointed SC judge<\/p>\n<\/figure><\/div>\n

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Law has issued a notification for the appointment of Justice Ali Baqir Najafi to the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n

According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Law, Justice Ali Baqir Najafi was posted as a Supreme Court from the Lahore High Court.<\/p>\n

After the approval of the President Asif Ali Zardari, a notification was issued by the Ministry of Law.<\/p>\n

It is to be remembered that the Judicial Commission of Pakistan had approved the elevation of Justice Ali Baqir Najafi on April 11.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Justice Ali Baqir Najafi was approved for appointment as Supreme Court Judge during a Judicial Commission Meeting.<\/p>\n

It was chaired by Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi, the appointment of two Supreme Court justices was debated.<\/p>\n

Also under consideration were the names of five senior Lahore High Court judges.<\/p>\n

These were Chief Justice of Lahore High Court Justice Aalia Neelum, Justice Sadaqat Hussain, Justice Ali Baqir Najafi, Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh and Justice Shujaat Ali Khan.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
