{"id":92886,"date":"2025-04-15T10:07:16","date_gmt":"2025-04-15T10:07:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/korangi-fire-public-advised-not-to-visit-dangerous-place\/"},"modified":"2025-04-15T10:07:16","modified_gmt":"2025-04-15T10:07:16","slug":"korangi-fire-public-advised-not-to-visit-dangerous-place","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/korangi-fire-public-advised-not-to-visit-dangerous-place\/","title":{"rendered":"Korangi Fire: Public advised not to visit dangerous place"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_85\">\n<div class=\"tdb-block-inner td-fix-index\">\n<p><strong>KARACHI: Chief of the Korangi Creek Cantonment Board has advised citizens to stay away from the spot where an unexplained fire that was raging for 18 days suddenly doused today.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe gas still emitting from the dug-hole, people shall avoid visiting the place,\u201d cantonment board\u2019s head Faisal Wattoo said during a visit of the location.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Ministry of Petroleum had hired services of an American company yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>The team comprises of drilling and safety experts inspected the site and observed intensity of fire at the place, he said.<\/p>\n<p>The dug-hole at the place has further expanded, cantonment board chief said. \u201cAn area of 500 metres around the spot will remain cordoned off,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have applied for the lab chemical report of the samples collected yesterday. The matter will become clear after the report,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>DC Korangi Masood Bhatti said that a private university near the location being shut down from today.
