{"id":92142,"date":"2025-03-26T09:57:13","date_gmt":"2025-03-26T09:57:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/shc-sends-sahir-hassans-bail-plea-to-constitutional-bench\/"},"modified":"2025-03-26T09:57:13","modified_gmt":"2025-03-26T09:57:13","slug":"shc-sends-sahir-hassans-bail-plea-to-constitutional-bench","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/shc-sends-sahir-hassans-bail-plea-to-constitutional-bench\/","title":{"rendered":"SHC sends Sahir Hassan&#039;s bail plea to constitutional bench"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_85\">\n<div class=\"tdb-block-inner td-fix-index\">\n<p><strong>KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Wednesday heard bail petition of Sahir Hasan, the son of renowned actor Sajid Hasan, in drug recovery case.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The high court bench said that the matter comes into the jurisdiction of the constitutional bench and directed to submit the bail petition to the constitutional bench.<\/p>\n<p>The court adjourned further hearing of the case until March 28.<\/p>\n<p>Petitioner\u2019s lawyer earlier told the court that the accused has been in jail on judicial remand.<\/p>\n<p>Police said that the accused was arrested on February 22 with five packets of weed in possession.<\/p>\n<p>Sahir Hasan, who is under arrest in connection with Mustafa Amir murder case, earlier revealed that students ordering drugs through smartphone applications, which are then delivered to specific locations.<\/p>\n<p>He denied allegations that they directly supply narcotics to educational institutions, stating that students themselves place orders online. He also claimed that they befriend students at colleges and universities, who then become addicted to narcotics.<\/p>\n<p>He further said that initially, only few students buy narcotics however the circle then expands across universities and colleges.<\/p>\n<p>SSP Shoaib Memon said two major groups are involved in the narcotics trade in Karachi, one group smuggles narcotics from California, while the other sells Iranian narcotics.
