Shortly after, the police arrived with their guns drawn.<\/p>\n<p>The officers, suspecting Shetty as a potential threat, ordered him to kneel and handcuffed him, warning, \u201cDown, or we shoot.\u201d Overwhelmed with shock, Shetty struggled to comprehend the situation. He recalled, \u201cI didn\u2019t know what was happening. I had to go down on my knees. They handcuffed me.\u201d His appearance, especially his beard, made him a target in the heightened security environment following 9\/11. He explained that the misunderstanding arose solely because of his look at the time.<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, some production team members intervened, and a Pakistani hotel manager clarified that Shetty was a well-known actor. As a result, the situation de-escalated, though Shetty described the experience as terrifying.
