\n BAHAWALPUR:<\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n

As many as 717,694 children under the age of five years will be administered anti-polio drops in the district during the anti-polio drive starting from November 30 in Bahawalpur. <\/span><\/p>\n

Bahawalpur Deputy Commissioner Muzaffar Khan Sial reviewed the arrangements for the three-day campaign. <\/span><\/p>\n

Focal Person Dr Zaki Ali briefed the deputy commissioner that the teams will visit schools to administer anti-polio drops and ensure that no child is left out. <\/span><\/p>\n

He stated that 1,770 teams had been constituted for the campaign which included 1,464 mobile teams, 167 fixed teams and 133 transit teams. <\/span><\/p>\n

A total of five special teams had been formed to administer anti-polio vaccines to children residing in the Cholistan area and at river banks. <\/span><\/p>\n

The campaign will be monitored by 296 area in-charges, 122 Union Council Monitoring Officers and six tehsil supervisors. <\/span><\/p>\n

The door-to-door campaign will continue from November 30 to December 2. The days of December 3 and December 4 were reserved for the remaining children. <\/span><\/p>\n

The DC directed to use masks, gloves and hand sanitisers during the campaign in order to avoid the spread of coronavirus. <\/span><\/p>\n

He further said that all-out efforts were needed to make the campaign successful and make the district polio-free. \u201cPolio workers must be trained periodically for capacity building.\u201d<\/p>\n
