DNA samples from the 3 arrested male suspects have been submitted to the Punjab Forensic Science Agency in the case of a 20-year-old woman who was allegedly raped, poisoned, and secretly buried in the Natha Chhattar area of Rawalpindi’s Jatli police’s jurisdiction.<\/p>\n

According to sources, the forensic report is expected in a few days. They said the three suspects in the Natha Chhattar case include 21-year-old Gulfaraz, also known as Gulu (the victim’s brother-in-law), a neighbour named Ameen Rafiq, and Wajahat, who frequently parked his vehicle at the house where the victim resided.<\/p>\n

Under strict police supervision, they were taken to the forensic agency on Thursday, where their DNA samples were collected.<\/p>\n

The Jatli police had already submitted the victim’s DNA samples earlier. The suspects were then transported back by the police team.<\/p>\n

Authorities stated that the DNA results are expected within a few days, and investigations continue against all five suspects, including two women.<\/p>\n

The suspects will be presented before the court on Saturday after the completion of their remand.<\/p>\n

The case was registered at Jatli police station under charges of sexual exploitation, torture, and the secret burial of the victim to conceal the crime. The orphaned 21-year-old had been living with her brother-in-law and paternal aunt.<\/p>\n

Police have arrested five suspects, including her brother-in-law, his father, his sister, a neighbour, and Wajahat, who frequently visited the house.<\/p>\n

In a separate incident in the same jurisdiction, police are investigating the alleged honour killing of a first-year female student, reported on January 4.<\/p>\n

The young woman was allegedly murdered at home and quietly buried. On Thursday, police sought permission from a local magistrate’s court for the exhumation of her body and a post-mortem examination.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
