The <em>Dexter<\/em> star cited \u201cirreconcilable differences\u201d as the reason for the split, according to documents obtained by <em>TMZ<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Ford\u2019s filing, submitted on Wednesday, did not specify the date of their separation. The couple shares a 12-year-old son, Leo, with Ford requesting joint legal and physical custody. Additionally, she has requested spousal support while asking the court to deny any such support to Routh.<\/p>\n<p>The couple\u2019s relationship began in 2004, with Routh proposing in 2006. They married the following year at El Capitan Ranch in Santa Barbara, embarking on a journey that lasted nearly two decades.<\/p>\n<p>Routh rose to fame playing Superman in <em>Superman Returns<\/em> and has been a fan favorite in <em>Legends of Tomorrow<\/em>.
