Gilgit-Baltistan is considered a hidden gem and the most untapped region among the world\u2019s top destinations.<\/strong><\/p>\n

CNN Travel has unveiled its list of the top 25 destinations to visit in 2025, which includes Gilgit-Baltistan.<\/p>\n

This stunning region in the Karakoram Mountains is a haven for adventure seekers and nature lovers.<\/p>\n

CNN Travel in its article titled \u201cWhere to go in 2025: The best places to visit\u201d curated a list of 25 destinations which are particularly worth visiting in 2025.<\/p>\n

\u201cBack in the 1970s, Pakistan was an adventure travel hot spot, its sublime mountain scenery a key stop on the \u201cHippie Trail\u201d overland route from Europe to South Asia. Decades of political instability put an end to that, but those epic peaks haven\u2019t gone anywhere\u201d, CNN Travel said.<\/p>\n

The article highlight \u201cThe Gilgit-Baltistan region in the Karokoram Mountains isn\u2019t the easiest place to get to \u2014 flight schedules can be unreliable, roads can be blocked off seasonally \u2014 but it has more tantalizing peaks than a lemon meringue pie\u201d.<\/p>\n

The US broadcaster further stated \u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s home to five of the 14 \u201ceight-thousander\u201d peaks recognized as the world\u2019s highest. That includes K2, the world\u2019s second-tallest mountain but No. 1 in terms of difficulty and danger\u201d, adding that in terms of tourism and infrastructure, hiking in this region makes the Himalayas look like a traipse in Central Park.<\/p>\n

\u201cLast year, Nepal banned solo hiking throughout that country, and this, too, is a place where going alone is not an option. It is, however, now accessible through trips organized by reputable global tour operators offering a 10-day, fully supported hike through the region known as \u201cLittle Tibet\u201d starting at around $3,000\u201d, CNN said.<\/p>\n

CNN\u2019s 2025 list also include Almaty in Kazakhstan, India\u2019s Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Bolivia, Germany\u2019s Chemnitz, Morocco\u2019s Rabat, Vancouver Island in Canada, Turkiye\u2019s Ka\u00e7kar Mountains, England\u2019s footpaths, Eswatani and Mpumalanga province in South Africa.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
