On Thursday, the Mumbai Court extended the lawyer\u2019s police custody until November 18, intensifying investigations into the case.<\/p>\n<p>According to the source, the court extended the police custody of Faizan Khan, a lawyer from Raipur, Chhattisgarh, until November 18. Khan was arrested on November 12 for allegedly issuing a death threat to Shah Rukh Khan and demanding Rs 50 lakh from the actor.<\/p>\n<p>Bandra police received a call with the threat, which they later traced back to Faizan\u2019s phone. The Mumbai police apprehended him in Raipur and obtained a transit remand to bring him back for further investigation.<\/p>\n<p>During court proceedings, Faizan Khan\u2019s defense, led by Amit and Sunil Mishra, argued that someone had stolen his phone before the incident and that the call was likely part of a scheme to frame him. They highlighted his past complaint against Shah Rukh Khan over a line in *Anjaam* (1994) about deer hunting, which he claimed offended the Bishnoi community, known for its cultural commitment to wildlife conservation.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that \u201che had planned to appear voluntarily before Mumbai authorities but received multiple threats, prompting him to request a virtual testimony for safety.
