In a significant mile-stone, Saylani Blood Bank & Thalassemia Center has achieved groundbreaking results, with 73 chil-dren under their care no longer requiring blood transfusions.<\/p>\n

These children have not needed transfusions for over two years, according to Saylani\u2019s founder and chairman, Maulana Muhammad Bashir Farooq Qadri, who shared this news during a media briefing at Saylani Blood Bank & Thalassemia Center in Gulshan-e-Iqbal on Thursday. Present at the briefing were the center\u2019s head, Muhammad Iqbal Qasmani, and renowned hematologist Ghulam Sarwar.<\/p>\n

Parents of these children expressed immense grati-tude, describing Saylani\u2019s work as a beacon of hope. \u201cIt was an agonizing experience; words can\u2019t de-scribe the hardship we endured. For the past two years, we\u2019ve only needed to come here for medica-tion,\u201d one parent shared. Maulana Bashir Farooq Qadri announced that, by God\u2019s grace, a viable treatment for thalassemia now exists in Pakistan without the need for bone marrow transplants. Previously, it was believed that bone marrow transplants\u2014costly procedures priced in the millions\u2014were the only option for treating thalas-semia.<\/p>\n
