LAHORE \u2013 The students continued to protest for a second day against the alleged rape with a student at a private college in Lahore.<\/p>\n

Despite government assurances and the announcement of an investigative committee regarding the incident, the students took to the streets again to demonstrate.<\/p>\n

In Lahore, the students protested and staged a sit-in outside the Punjab Assembly on Mall Road while a heavy police presence was deployed in front of the assembly.<\/p>\n

Besides Lahore, the college students in other cities of Punjab also joined the protests.<\/p>\n

In Multan, the students vandalized the college building on Bosan Road, prompting police to use batons and arrest dozens of students.<\/p>\n

In Jahanian, students organized a motorcycle rally, and in Zafarwal, they set tires on fire, blocking traffic and demanding justice and a transparent investigation into the matter.<\/p>\n

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz formed a six-member investigative committee headed by the Chief Secretary to investigate the matter.<\/p>\n

However, according to the police investigations, there is no truth in the incident, and the security guard has denied it.<\/p>\n

They ssid they did not find any evidence of sexual assault.<\/p>\n
