The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has informed the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday that a five-member team has been formed to arrest Falak Javed, accused of sharing a fake video of provincial information minister Azma Bukhari.<\/p>\n

Chief Justice Aalia Neelum presided over the hearing on a petition filed by Bukhari, who sought legal action against the dissemination of the video.<\/p>\n

The court has adjourned the hearing until September 18 for further proceedings.<\/p>\n

During the session, FIA officials submitted a progress report, highlighting their efforts to apprehend the suspect.<\/p>\n

They assured the court that they were close to arresting Javed.<\/p>\n

The counsel for the federal government added that arrest warrants had been issued, and the accused’s bank accounts had been frozen.<\/p>\n

Azma Bukhari’s legal team raised concerns about the FIA’s delay, noting that Javed had been seen attending a public gathering of the PTI in Islamabad, where she continued to share video clips.<\/p>\n

Despite this, authorities had not yet arrested her.<\/p>\n

The FIA reiterated that they were nearing Javed’s arrest and requested more time to complete the process.<\/p>\n

Azma Bukhari had filed the petition alleging that on July 24, Falak Javed shared a doctored video on X (formerly Twitter), which was subsequently circulated by hundreds of users, damaging her reputation.<\/p>\n

The petitioner called for legal action against Javed and others involved, urging the court to place Javed’s name on the Exit Control List (ECL) and demand an investigation report from the FIA.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
