He walked the red carpet in Lyon alongside Benicio Del Toro and Monica Bellucci, making an unexpected entrance at the event.<\/p>\n<p>Monica Bellucci, attending the event for her documentary premiere, playfully glanced back at the curtain and pulled out Tim Burton. The director\u2019s unexpected appearance thrilled the crowd, who erupted in applause.<\/p>\n<p>Looking back, Tim Burton fell in love with Monica Bellucci at the 2022 ceremony when he received the Lifetime Achievement Award. The actress also presented him with the trophy during the event.<\/p>\n<p>Monica Bellucci worked with Tim Burton in his popular movie franchise \u201cBeetlejuice\u201d and its sequel \u201cBeetlejuice Beetlejuice\u201d. Before Burton\u2019s surprise appearance, the event honored actor Michael Blanc for his significant contribution to the French film industry before his passing in early October. The crowd lit up their phones and sang along to a medley of songs, paying tribute to the beloved French actor.<\/p>\n<p>Later in the ceremony, director Thierry Fr\u00e9maux continued the long-standing tradition of screening the Lumi\u00e8re Brothers\u2019 film, reminding the audience that Lyon is the birthplace of cinema. As the Cannes Film Festival director, Thierry Fr\u00e9maux will also personally present a few Cannes premieres.
