Two terrorists were killed during a police encounter in Taunsa, Punjab, on 24 August, authorities confirmed.<\/p>\n

The confrontation occurred near the City Food Club in the jurisdiction of the City Police Station, where officers acted on intelligence about a group of extremists from Fitanat al-Khawarij planning a major terrorist attack.<\/p>\n

According to police sources, the SHO of Tehsil Vahowa, District Taunsa, led the operation.<\/p>\n

Upon arrival, the terrorists opened fire on the police team, leading to a fierce exchange.<\/p>\n

The police returned fire, killing two militants on the spot.<\/p>\n

The encounter resulted in injuries to SHO Vahowa, Sub-Inspector Sadiq, and Constable Muzammil Nazir.<\/p>\n

They were swiftly transferred to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Taunsa, where they are receiving medical care.<\/p>\n

Local residents commended the bravery of the police officers involved in the encounter.<\/p>\n
