NDMA warns of intense rainfall across country in next 24 to 48 hours<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n

ISLAMABAD: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a warning about the possibility of heavy and intense rainfall across the country in the next 24 to 48 hours, heightening concerns about potential urban flooding in major cities.<\/p>\n

The NDMA has advised all relevant departments to stay alert and take necessary precautions. The advisory highlights a significant risk of urban flooding in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur, and Sialkot.<\/p>\n

Additionally, low-lying areas in Sargodha, Faisalabad, Nowshera, and Peshawar are also at risk of flooding.<\/p>\n

The NDMA has warned that urban flooding could damage infrastructure and disrupt daily life, with communities near drainage channels being especially vulnerable to flash floods and severe impacts.<\/p>\n

In response to these threats, the NDMA has launched the \u201cPak NDMA Disaster Alert\u201d application, available on both Google Play Store and iOS App Store.
