ISLAMABAD \u2013 More intermittent monsoon rains with few heavy falls and gusty winds are likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Thursday night, Friday and Saturday.<\/p>\n

Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea penetrate upper\/central parts of Pakistan. Strong currents from the Bay of Bengal will likely enter upper parts tonight. A westerly wave will also likely enter upper parts tonight.<\/p>\n

Under these conditions, more intermittent monsoon rain with few heavy falls and gusty winds are likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Potohar Region, northeast\/central Punjab, Kashmir, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, northeast Balochistan and Sindh on Thursday night, Friday and Saturday.<\/p>\n

Torrential rains may generate flash flooding in local nullahs\/streams of Murree, Galliyat, Mansehra, Kohistan, Chitral, Gilgit-Baltistan, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Nowshera, Swabi, Islamabad\/Rawalpindi, northeast Punjab, Kalat, Khuzdar, Barkhan, Lasbella, Sibbi, Kohlu, Harnai, Nasserabad, Zhob, Bolan and Kashmir and hill torrents of Dera Ghazi Khan.<\/p>\n

Heavy rains may cause urban flooding in low lying areas of Islamabad\/Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Sialkot, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Nowshera and Peshawar from tonight to August 17. Landslides may disrupt traffic in the vulnerable hilly areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Galliyat, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.<\/p>\n

Islamabad\u2019s maximum temperature will likely remain between 28-30\u00b0C on Friday and 29-31\u00b0C on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Rawalpindi\u2019s maximum temperature will likely remain between 28-30\u00b0C on Friday and 29-31\u00b0C on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, monsoon rains occurred in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Potohar Region, northeast\/ central Punjab, Kashmir, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and north Balochistan during the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Nokkundi remained the hottest place in the country where the maximum temperature was recorded at 49\u00b0C. The maximum temperature in Dalbandin was recorded at 46\u00b0C, and Sibbi at 45\u00b0C.<\/p>\n

In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 29\u00b0C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 96 per cent.<\/p>\n

In Rawalpindi, maximum temperature was recorded at 29\u00b0C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 81 per cent.<\/p>\n
