American pop star Taylor Swift broke Kanye West\u2018s long-running no. 1 streak at the Billboard with \u201cThe Tortured Poets Department\u201d album.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Swift\u2019s album has become No. 1 on the charts with 142,000 equivalent album units earned while Kanye\u2019s latest album \u201cVultures 2\u201d missed the top spot with 107,000 equivalent album units, US media outlets reported.<\/p>\n

While \u2018Tortured Poets Department\u2019 became the first album since Morgan Wallen\u2019s \u201cOne Thing at a Time\u201d to spend at least 14 weeks at the top spot, it was the 13th instance Kanye West\u2019s album charted at no. 2.<\/p>\n

West collaborated with Lil Wayne, Don Toliver, Kodak Black, Future, and Playboi Carti for \u2018Vultures 2\u2019 which was supposed to be released earlier this year.<\/p>\n

It is pertinent to mention that Taylor Swift and Kanye West had a longstanding feud, dating back to 2009 when West interrupted Swift\u2019s acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards to declare that Beyonc\u00e9 should have won the award.<\/p>\n

While they later resolved their issues, West\u2019s song \u201cFamous\u201d dealt a blow to their relations.<\/p>\n

In the song, West claimed credit for Swift\u2019s fame with the line, \u201cI made that bitch famous.\u201d<\/p>\n

Following an uproar, the singer and his then-wife Kim Kardashian later published a recorded conversation with Swift that was allegedly edited to suggest she had approved the lyric.<\/p>\n

Later, another version of the conversation surfaced online which refuted the former couple\u2019s claims of securing Taylor Swift\u2019s approval.<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, Swift\u2019s three concerts in Vienna were cancelled after the government confirmed a planned attack at the stadium, the organiser announced as Austria\u2019s Chancellor Karl Nehammer said a \u2018tragedy was prevented\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cThanks to the intensive cooperation of our police and the newly established DSN with foreign services, the threat was identified early on, combated and a tragedy prevented,\u201d Nehammer said in a post on social media platform X. DSN is Austria\u2019s Directorate for Security and Intelligence.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
