Babar Azam was named during a National Assembly session in Islamabad as a Pakistan Peoples Party lawmaker gave advise to the Pakistan cricket team captain.<\/p>\n

PPP Member of National Assembly Abdul Qadir Patel, during an NA session on Saturday, appeared to be advising the national cricket team captain on how to avoid criticism.<\/p>\n

Following disappointing performances on the field, Pakistan cricket team faced an early exit from the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.<\/p>\n

Babar Captain Azam has been facing of criticism from all quarters with many fans, supporters, former players and social media users offering their own advise.<\/p>\n

Patel advised Babar to ‘declare that a conspiracy has been plotted against him, write a letter, and then declare that the letter has been misplaced, as it would save him.’<\/p>\n

His remarks were alluding to the cipher case involving Imran Khan, the jailed founding leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.<\/p>\n

Abdul Qadir Patel clarified his statement, saying it was made in jest and should not be taken seriously.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the session of the National Assembly commenced under the presidency of Speaker Ayaz Sadiq<\/p>\n
