ISLAMABAD \u2013 Intermittent rain-wind\/thunderstorms are likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Thursday night and Friday.<\/p>\n

Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly prevails over upper parts of the country.<\/p>\n

Under these weather conditions, intermittent rain-wind\/thunderstorms are likely in the twin cities and at isolated places in upper Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday night and Friday. Hot and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.<\/p>\n

Islamabad\u2019s maximum temperatures will likely stay between 39-41\u00b0C on Friday and 38-40\u00b0C on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Rawalpindi\u2019s maximum temperatures will likely stay between 40-42\u00b0C on Friday and 39-41\u00b0C on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, hot and dry prevailed in the most parts of the country during the last 24 hours. Extremely hot weather prevailed in the southern\/central parts. Light rain\/drizzle occurred at isolated places of Gilgit-Baltistan, Potohar region and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.<\/p>\n

Bhakkar and Noorpur Thal remained the hottest places in the country where the maximum temperature was recorded at 49\u00b0C. The maximum temperature in Sibbi was recorded at 48\u00b0C, Jacobabad at 47\u00b0C, Mandi Bahauddin, Dadu, Gujranwala, Dera Ismail Khan, Hafizabad, Jhang, Jhelum, Okara and Narwal at 46\u00b0C.<\/p>\n

In Islamabad, the maximum temperature was recorded at 43\u00b0C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 21 per cent.<\/p>\n

In Rawalpindi, the maximum temperature was recorded at 43\u00b0C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 15 per cent.<\/p>\n
