He called for the organizers to rectify the pitch to ensure it\u2019s safe for the players.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHmmmm, that wicket in NYC needs some attention before the big game. I\u2019d also suggest having seen a few players that tried to slide and jarred their knees, that all players exercise caution. I\u2019m sure everyone is working extremely hard to make sure it\u2019s perfect for IND vs PAK!\u201d Pietersen posted.<\/p>\n<p>Conversely, former cricketer and commentator <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bolnews.com\/sports\/2024\/06\/aakash-chopra-criticizes-team-groupings-in-t20-world-cup-2024\/\">Aakash Chopra<\/a> took a more positive stance, indicating that the pitch conditions are likely to get better over time.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that drop-in pitches usually start with a thicker layer of grass and need a few games to settle into a state more favorable for batting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLively pitch at New York.
