A shallow westerly wave persists over upper parts of the country.<\/p>\n<p>Under these conditions, rain-wind\/thunderstorms are expected at isolated places in Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir on Wednesday night. Hot and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday and Friday, rains and gusty winds are expected in the twin cities and at isolated places in northeast Punjab, Gilgit Baltistan, Kashmir and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.<\/p>\n<p>Islamabad\u2019s maximum temperatures will likely stay between 40-42\u00b0C on Thursday and 39-41\u00b0C on Friday.<br \/>Rawalpindi\u2019s maximum temperatures will likely stay between 40-42\u00b0C on Thursday and 39-41\u00b0C on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, heatwaves prevailed in the country\u2019s plains during the last 24 hours with 04 to 06\u00b0C above normal day temperatures. However, light rain\/drizzle occurred at isolated places of Gilgit-Baltistan.<\/p>\n<p>Jacobabad and Dadu remained the hottest places in the country where the maximum temperature was recorded at 51\u00b0C. Maximum temperature in Sibbi, Khairpur, Larkana and Mohenjo-Daro was recorded at 50\u00b0C, Sukkur, Shaheed Benazirabad, Rohri, Turbat and Lasbella at 49\u00b0C, Kasur, Sakrand, Padidan, Hyderabad and Rahim Yar Khan at 48\u00b0C and Bhakkar and Jhang at 47\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p>In Islamabad, the maximum temperature was recorded at 42\u00b0C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 18 per cent.<br \/>In Rawalpindi, the maximum temperature was recorded at 42\u00b0C.
