High pressure prevails in the upper atmosphere, which will likely persist this week.<\/p>\n<p>Under these conditions, heatwave will likely persist in Lahore and most parts of Punjab till May 27 with 06 to 08\u00b0C above normal day temperatures. In the Potohar region, Murree and Galyat, isolated rain-wind\/thunderstorms are predicted.<\/p>\n<p>Lahore\u2019s maximum temperatures will likely stay between 45-47\u00b0C on Friday and 46-48\u00b0C on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, hot and dry weather prevailed in Lahore and most parts of the province during the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n<p>Rahim Yar Khan remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 48\u00b0C. Maximum temperature in Khanpur, Kot Addu, Bhakkar, Noorpur Thal and Dera Ghazi Khan was recorded at 47\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p>In Lahore, the maximum temperature was recorded at 42\u00b0C.
