ISLAMABAD \u2013 Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has said that Pakistan attaches great importance to long-standing brotherly relations with Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n

\u201cPak-Saudi relations are bound by unbreakable bond of religion, culture, history, and mutual trust and respect\u201d, he said while talking to Saudi Ambassador in Pakistan, Nawal bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy who called on him at the Parliament on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cGrowing bilateral ties are heartening and we are committed to taking this mutually beneficial partnership to new heights by expanding cooperation in all fields of mutual interest\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n

The Speaker highlighted that the people of Pakistan hold deep respect and affinity for Saudi Arabia, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdul AI, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman, and the people of the Kingdom. \u201cBoth brotherly countries share the unanimity of views on important global and regional issues,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Referring to parliament-to-parliament relations, he emphasized that parliamentary diplomacy is of utmost importance to strengthen bilateral relations. Exchanges of parliamentary delegations and coordination among parliamentary friendship groups will help bring the two nations closer. He also extended the invitation to the Chairman of Majlis-e-Shura of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to visit Pakistan. He said that the two Islamic brotherly countries have always supported each other in difficult times. He said,\u201d Saudi Arabia\u2019s support for the economic development of Pakistan is commendable.\u201d While welcoming Saudi Arabia\u2019s commitment to invest in Pakistan, the Speaker remarked that there are ample opportunities for foreign investment in Pakistan, and current economic policies are very conducive for investment. He also thanked the Saudi government for providing facilities and support to the Pakistani diaspora living in Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n

The Saudi Ambassador thanked the Speaker for expressing best wishes for the custodians of the Holy Haram and the desire to expand bilateral relations. He reaffirmed that Saudi Arabia attach great importance to brotherly relations with Pakistan, and both the people and government of Saudi Arabia will continue to lend support for the sustainable development and prosperity of Pakistan.<\/p>\n
