People\u2019s Democratic Party (PDP) leader Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra has stated that the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir are not happy with Delhi, emphasizing that the Lok Sabha election should not be considered less than a referendum.<\/p>\n

According to Kashmir Media Service, Waheed Parra, who is also PDP\u2019s candidate for the Srinagar constituency of the Lok Sabha elections, talking to the media during a public meeting, said: \u201cPeople of Srinagar, in particular, and people of Kashmir, in general, should not regard this election as less than a referendum.\u201d<\/p>\n

The PDP leader highlighted that Delhi needs to understand that it should not interpret the silence of people as their happiness. People are silent, but they are not happy. he added.<\/p>\n

He noted that there was silence among the people while the young generation was uncertain about their future. \u201cPeople are in fear, and they have no clue about anything,\u201d he maintained.<\/p>\n

Waheed Parra stressed that people have to assert that their resources as well as their identity are in \u201cdanger.\u201d \u201cFor this, we have to ensure assurance from the highest place of the country-Parliament.\u201d<\/p>\n

Parra mentioned that the issue is not only about August 5, 2019; \u201cit is about the Kashmir problem entirely; we have lost thousands of people; there are people in jails.\u201d\u2014KMS<\/p>\n
