{"id":78904,"date":"2024-04-14T20:26:04","date_gmt":"2024-04-14T20:26:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/bilawal-castigates-some-politicians-for-conspiring-against-country\/"},"modified":"2024-04-14T20:26:04","modified_gmt":"2024-04-14T20:26:04","slug":"bilawal-castigates-some-politicians-for-conspiring-against-country","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/bilawal-castigates-some-politicians-for-conspiring-against-country\/","title":{"rendered":"Bilawal castigates \u2018some politicians\u2019 for conspiring against country"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_79\">\n<div class=\"tdb-block-inner td-fix-index\">\n<p><strong>Pakistan People\u2019s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday castigated the recently-formed PTI-led grand opposition alliance, saying that some politicians are hatching a conspiracy against the country under pretext of poll rigging claims.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The former foreign minister made these remarks while addressing a public gathering at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh in connection with 45th death anniversary of former prime minister Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.<\/p>\n<p>Lambasting the opposition alliance, Bilawal Bhutto said that some politician wanted to launch Pakistan National Alliance (PNA) II \u2013 referring to a nine-party alliance launched in 1977 against the Bhutto-led government.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDue to those conspiratorial politicians, the country faced ten years of dictatorship [Gen Ziaul Haq\u2019s tenure] and even today such politicians are doing the same which is a threat to the country,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n<p>He pointed out that many forces did not believe in democracy and used to hatch conspiracies but President Asif Ali Zardari foiled their designs. \u201cNow they are hatching conspiracy against the country and its economy under pretext of poll rigging,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Bilawal warned that if the democracy is derailed, masses would be the first who suffer loss, urging the politicians to \u2018work together\u2019 and steer the country out of crisis.<\/p>\n<p>He also emphasised \u201cnational reconciliation\u201d for betterment of Pakistan, noting that the country would not progress if they do the \u201cpolitics of abuses\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>A day earlier, PTI-led opposition alliance \u2014 including Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP), Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) and Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) \u2014 launched its protest movement with a power show in Pishin.<\/p>\n<p>The six-party alliance launched the movement against the alleged massive rigging in the February 8 general elections.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><script type=\"rocketlazyloadscript\">\n  window.fbAsyncInit = function() {\n    FB.init({\n      appId      : '161345524510473',\n      cookie     : true,\n      xfbml      : true,\n      version    : 'v3.0'\n    });\n    FB.AppEvents.logPageView();   \n  };\n  (function(d, s, id){\n     var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];\n     if (d.getElementById(id)) {return;}\n     js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id;\n     js.src = \"https:\/\/connect.facebook.net\/en_US\/sdk.js\";\n     fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);\n   }(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));\n<\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pakistan People\u2019s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday castigated the recently-formed PTI-led grand opposition alliance, saying that some politicians are hatching a conspiracy against the country under pretext of poll rigging claims.
