ISLAMABAD \u2013 Shariah Board Pakistan has set Rs300 as the unified value of Sadaqah-e-Fitr and Fidya for Ramadan 2024.<\/p>\n

The minimum Fitrana amount has been set at Rs300 per person, equal to 2kgs of wheat flour. Fidya for missing a fast due to poor health or other reasons is Rs300 per person.<\/p>\n

Sharia Board chairman Dr. Mufti Muhammad Zafar Iqbal Jalali said that affluent people should pay Fitrana in accordance with their capacity instead of sticking to the minimum.<\/p>\n

The values set for different food items are Rs600 for oats, Rs2,400 for dates, and Rs4,400 for raisins. For the entire Ramadan, Fidya rates are set at Rs9,000 for wheat flour, Rs18,000 for oats, Rs72,000 for dates, and Rs132,000 for raisins. For the unversed, Fidya is amount to be given to poor by those who are ill or unable to fast with no prospect of recovery.<\/p>\n

Travelers and those temporarily unable to fast are required to make up for missed fasts, as Fidya cannot be a substitute for abstaining from fasting. If a person skips a fast due to travelling or other reasons, he or she is required to fast on an alternative day as compensation.<\/p>\n

The Fitrana or Sadaqah-e-Fitr is obligatory on every Muslim and must be paid before Eid.<\/p>\n
