Shannen Doherty opened up about the emotional process of clearing out her storage units and homes to facilitate a smoother transition for her mother, Rosa, in the event of her passing.<\/p>\n

The Beverly Hills 90210 alum revealed her thoughts on how letting go was \u201cthe right thing to do,\u201d in Monday\u2019s episode of her \u201cLet’s Be Clear\u201d podcast.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cMy priority at the moment is my mom,\u201d the actress emphasised. \u201cI know it\u2019s going to be hard on her if I pass away before her.\u201d<\/p>\n

She elaborated, \u201cI want other things to be a lot easier. I don\u2019t want her to have a bunch of stuff to deal with. I don\u2019t want her to have four storage units filled with furniture.\u201d<\/p>\n

Doherty, aged 52, shared that she began sorting through her possessions, intending to donate or sell antiques and other items she had accumulated over time, as a precautionary measure in case anything were to happen to her.<\/p>\n

Recently, the actress travelled to her Tennessee home to pack up her belongings after deciding to let go of her aspiration to live on the property and foster horses.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was really hard and really emotional because to a certain extent \u2014 I felt like I was giving up on this dream of building this property out, and putting a house for me and a house for my mom and then extending the barn\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was packing up and I started crying \u2026 I felt like I was giving up on a dream and what did that mean for me? Did it mean that I was giving up on life? Did it mean that I was throwing in the towel?\u201d she questioned..<\/p>\n

The “Charmed” star had a realisation during this time, recognizing that her dream was a \u201cstupid idea\u201d because of how much it would cost her to renovate the property.<\/p>\n

Letting go of the property and other possessions, Doherty explained, helps \u201cleave behind a cleaner, easier transition\u201d for her family.<\/p>\n

Throughout this process, Doherty has discovered that her possessions do not bring her as much happiness as creating memories with her mother and loved ones.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
