Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Zulfi Bukhari has withdrawn his candidacy for the upcoming Senate elections. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Bukhari alleged that his nomination faced \u201cfalse and illegal hurdles,\u201d despite possessing the necessary legal documentation.<\/p>\n

\u201cChallenging the notifications of my party candidates could create internal friction within the party,\u201d Bukhari explained. \u201cMy loyalty to PTI is unwavering, and the party\u2019s unity remains paramount.\u201d<\/p>\n

Withdrawing his candidacy, Bukhari extended his congratulations to Allama Nasir Abbas, who will now fill the Senate seat.<\/p>\n

At least 18 candidates have been elected unopposed as senators out of a total of 147 aspirants who submitted their nomination papers for the 48 vacant Senate seats.<\/p>\n

The final list of candidates from Returning Officers shows that out of 18 elected unopposed, seven are from Punjab\u2019s general seats.<\/p>\n

Seven candidates for Senate\u2019s general seats from Punjab have elected unopposed including Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.<\/p>\n

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz\u2019s Ahad Cheema, Pervaiz Rashid, Nasir Mehmood, Talal Chaudhry, had been elected unopposed.<\/p>\n

Sunni Ittehad Council\u2019s Hamid Khan and Raja Nasir Abbas was also elected on the Senate\u2019s general seats.<\/p>\n

Similarly, in Balochistan, senators for seven general seats, two women seats, and two Ulema\/technocrat seats have won without any opposition.<\/p>\n

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam\u2019s Ahmed Khan and ANP\u2019s Aimal Wali Khan, National Party\u2019s Jan Buledi, People\u2019s Party\u2019s Umar Gorgej, PML-N\u2019s Shahzeb Durrani and Syedal Khan Nasir have been elected unopposed as members of the Senate.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
