The script, written by Zach Dean (“The Tomorrow War”, “Fast X”), reportedly follows an \u201cenigmatic stranger (Depp) and a bartender (Sweeney) mourning the loss of her lover.\u201d The film is said to explore themes of \u201clove, friendship, and revenge.\u201d<\/p>\n

‘Day Drinker’ marks a major comeback role for Depp following his 2021 defamation trial victory. He recently starred in “Jeanne du Barry” and directed a film about Amedeo Modigliani.<\/p>\n
