Following his recent success as the villain opposite Ranbir Kapoor in the Bollywood hit Animal<\/em>, Indian star Bobby Deol is slated to play the antagonist yet again, this time against Kapoor\u2019s wife Alia Bhatt, in the upcoming Yash Raj Film (YRF) Spy Universe film, reported Pinkvilla<\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter Animal<\/em>, this is yet another author-backed antagonist turn for Bobby Deol,\u201d revealed a source with ties to the development, who claimed that the role is \u201ctailor-made\u201d for the actor and \u201cfull of swag\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to Pinkvilla<\/em>, the project has yet to be assigned a title, but it has been confirmed that in addition to Bhatt and Deol, the spy thriller will also star Sharvari Wagh, said to be a YRF homegrown talent, and is touted to be a ground-breaking action film in Indian cinema with its all-women protagonists in an otherwise men-driven genre.<\/p>\n

\u201cDeol will be playing the terrifying evil force who takes on Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in the film,\u201d continued the source. \u201cThe paperwork is done and Bobby is all excited to start shooting for the film in the second half of 2024.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Helmed by Indian mogul Aditya Chopra, the YRF Spy Universe thus far consists of six other films, namely Ek Tha Tiger<\/em>, Tiger Zinda Hai<\/em>, War<\/em>, Pathaan<\/em>, Tiger 3<\/em>, and War 2<\/em>. In preparation for his new role, said to be his most morally ambiguous yet, Deol is reportedly experimenting with new looks and is set to undergo a set of physical transformations. Beginning his acting career in 1995, Deol started playing the romantic hero, but has since carved out a name for himself as a villain in films such as Badal<\/em>, Bichhoo<\/em>, Shakalaka Boom Boom<\/em>, and Love Hostel<\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\n
