{"id":7449,"date":"2023-09-24T19:04:17","date_gmt":"2023-09-24T19:04:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/irans-raisi-says-israeli-normalisation-deals-will-fail\/"},"modified":"2023-09-24T19:04:17","modified_gmt":"2023-09-24T19:04:17","slug":"irans-raisi-says-israeli-normalisation-deals-will-fail","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/irans-raisi-says-israeli-normalisation-deals-will-fail\/","title":{"rendered":"Iran\u2019s Raisi says Israeli \u2018normalisation\u2019 deals will fail"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<p>Iran\u2019s President Ebrahim Raisi said in a US television interview on Sunday that US-sponsored efforts to normalise Israeli relations with Gulf Arab states, including Saudi Arabia, \u201cwill see no success\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with <em>CNN<\/em>, Raisi also said Iran had not said it does not want nuclear inspectors from the United Nations\u2019 nuclear watchdog in the country.<\/p>\n<p>Raisi has said Iran has no issue with the UN nuclear watchdog\u2019s inspection of its nuclear sites, days after Tehran barred multiple inspectors assigned to the country.<\/p>\n<p>Israel has moved closer to the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco following a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/1579852\">US-driven diplomatic initiative<\/a> in 2020 which pushed for normalisation of relations.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"media  sm:w-1\/2  w-full  media--right  media--embed  media--uneven\">\n<p>    <iframe class=\"nk-iframe\" onload=\"setInterval(()=&gt;{try{this.style.height=this.contentWindow.document.body.scrollHeight+'px';}catch{}}, 100)\" width=\"100%\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" style=\"height:400px;position:relative\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/card\/1777299\" sandbox=\"allow-same-origin allow-scripts allow-popups allow-modals allow-forms\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Establishing ties with Saudi Arabia \u2014 home to some of Islam\u2019s holiest sites \u2014 would be the grand prize for Israel and change the geopolitics of the Middle East.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on Iran\u2019s nuclear programme, Raisi said: \u201cWe have announced time and time again that the use of nuclear weapons, the use of weapons of mass destruction in general, do not have a place. Why?
