{"id":74051,"date":"2024-03-22T09:19:54","date_gmt":"2024-03-22T09:19:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/ttp-demands-rs-1-bln-extortion-from-islamabad-resident\/"},"modified":"2024-03-22T09:19:54","modified_gmt":"2024-03-22T09:19:54","slug":"ttp-demands-rs-1-bln-extortion-from-islamabad-resident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pakistaninewspaperlist.com\/news\/ttp-demands-rs-1-bln-extortion-from-islamabad-resident\/","title":{"rendered":"TTP demands Rs 1 bln extortion from Islamabad resident"},"content":{"rendered":"<div data-td-block-uid=\"tdi_79\">\n<div class=\"tdb-block-inner td-fix-index\">\n<p><strong>ISLAMABAD: The banned militant organization, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), demanded extortion of Rs 1 billion from a woman residing in Islamabad, ARY News reported on Friday.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the details, the banned organization called a woman resident of Islamabad Sector D-12\/2 and demanded extortion of Rs 1 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Over the complaint of the victim woman, sources revealed that a case of the incident has been registered in Police Station Golra Sharif.<\/p>\n<p>Sources revealed that the extortion call was received from two different numbers, the first call was linked to Afghanistan, while the second one was dialed from Iran.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, Islamabad Police registered a case and started investigating the incident.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, <a href=\"https:\/\/arynews.tv\/ttp-operative-arrested-by-ctd-in-karachi\/\">CTD arrested a proscribed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)<\/a> operative from Karachi.<\/p>\n<p>As per details, CTD team on a tip-off conducted an operation near Karachi\u2019s Manghopir area and arrested TTP\u2019s Wali Rehman along with hand grenades.<\/p>\n<p>The CTD officials said Wali Rehman was involved in several terror attacks in Pakistan.
