QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minis\u00adter Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti has labelled corruption and bad governance as the \u201cbiggest issues of Balochistan\u201d.<\/p>\n

He vowed that his government wou\u00adld take measures<\/a> to strengthen institutions, including the Anti-Corruption Establish\u00adment (ACE), through the appointment of an experienced police officer as its head after necessary amendments in the body\u2019s law.<\/p>\n

The CM made these remarks on Tu\u00ad\u00adesday while talking to the media after an iftar dinner hosted in honour of jou\u00adr\u00ad\u00adnalists at the Chief Minister Secretariat.<\/p>\n

PPP leader Mir Ali Madad Jattak, PML-N MPA Mir Shoaib Nusherwani, Mir Liaquat Lehri and Obaidullah Gorg\u00adage were also present at the press conference.<\/p>\n

The CM lamented that government departments were \u201cunder the influence of mafias,\u201d which affected their performance. He said that his government would have a \u201czero tolerance policy\u201d with regard to corruption.<\/p>\n

CM Bugti dismisses reports of differences in cabinet formation<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Referring to the missing persons\u2019 issue, the CM claimed that it was given a political colour by some quarters as there were differences in the missing persons\u2019 data available with the government and the claims made by their heirs, political parties and other groups.<\/p>\n

However, despite the difficulties, the government wants to resolve the issue, CM Bugti said, adding that the federal government\u2019s commission on missing persons has decided around 87 per cent of missing persons\u2019 cases<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mr Bugti also denied the reports of differences among coalition parties over cabinet formation. \u201cThe cabinet will be formed according to the formula agreed between the four-party alliance [of PPP, PML-N, BAP and ANP],\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
