Pakistani actor Ayesha Omar, known for her roles in Bulbulay <\/em>and Habs<\/em>, recently underwent a complex reconstruction surgical procedure for a non-union of her collarbone, medically termed the clavicle. The star had previously disclosed her scheduled surgery on Instagram, shedding light on the seriousness of her condition.<\/p>\n

In a note shared by Omar, her doctor outlined the gravity of her situation, indicating that the planned surgery would entail a major reconstruction effort. The procedure involved bone grafting to effectively address the non-union issue. Following the operation, she took to social media once again to share a video message from her hospital bed, providing fans with an update on her health status.<\/p>\n

In the video, Omar explained the intricacies of her surgery, stating, “Dr. Shah has taken a bone graft, basically a piece of bone, from my pelvic bone… sorry, it takes effort to talk.” She gestured towards her collarbone, indicating the placement of the bone graft and the titanium plate that was inserted.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Despite being only 48 hours post-operation, the actor detailed the challenges she was facing in her recovery. “Now it’s been 48 hours and I still can’t walk properly,” she said. “The pain in my collarbones is there, but the one in my leg, I cannot put any weight on my left leg because the bone here is smashed. He had to smash it with a hammer literally to take out a piece. So the pain in my pelvic area is unbearable.”<\/p>\n

Omar expressed gratitude for the painkillers that helped alleviate some of her discomfort. She even shared a unique method she had devised to navigate the challenges of mobility during her recovery. “I have found a very cool new move to go to the bathroom without putting weight on my left leg,” she said with a hint of humor. “I just slide on my right leg.”<\/p>\n

In the caption accompanying the video post, she penned, “Thinking of my Palestinian brothers and sisters and that gives me immense strength.”<\/p>\n
